for KING & COUNTRY And Joanne Cash Record Coldplay Song Written for Johnny Cash

for KING & COUNTRY partnered with Joanne Cash, sister of Johnny Cash, to record a song that was originally written for the legendary singer. Unfortunately, Cash passed away before he could record the song, so the Smallbones were invited to record it in his memory. You can listen to the song below.

Although the song, titled “Til Kingdom Come,” definitely bears the mark of Coldplay’s vivid, imaginative writing, it ultimately plays as a kind of modern day hymn: “For you I’d wait ’til kingdom come / Until my day, my days are done / And say you’ll come and set me free / Just say you’ll wait, you’ll wait for me.”

The song comes as excitement continues to build behind for KING & COUNTRY’s third studio album, Burn the Ships. For further updates on the band, you can find them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
