Worth the Wait: “Down” By Love and Death

In a year of single releases, perhaps the best was saved for last when it comes to hard rock.

Love and Death, fronted by Brian “Head” Welch, released hard rocking single “Down” on November 13, and it was 100% worth the wait. This is the first tune from Love and Death in 8 years, and the first track from full length album Perfectly Preserved, which will be available in February 2021. You can see the official lyric video below.

Pairing Breaking Benjamin’s Jasen Rauch with Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch results in a fusion of metal guitars with both clean and unclean vocals and instrumental tracks that are as good as any you will hear. In something of a supergroup lineup, the band is completed by JR Bareis (Spoken, formerly Islander) and Isaiah Perez (who has played for bands like Phineas and Spoken). Keith Wallen (Breaking Benjamin) and Joe Rickard (formerly RED, In Flames) also contributed to the track’s production.

Find “Down” on Spotify and Apple Music.
