The Almost Releases First New Song in 6 Years

The Almost has released a new song titled “Chokehold,” their first new music since 2013’s Fear Inside Our Bones. You can listen to the song and watch the corresponding music video below.

The song was dropped to streaming platforms on September 25 by surprise, without prior notice or fanfare. On The Almost’s Instagram, the bio has been changed with the promise of a new album in just weeks: “Fear Caller is out October 18. ‘Chokehold’ is out now.” On his own Instagram, frontman Aaron Gillespie shared simply “I AM SO STOKED.”

You can presave Fear Caller at found.ee/fearcaller_presave, or preorder packages at found.ee/thealmostmerch.

The Almost had been on extended hold due to frontman Aaron Gillespie’s stint drumming for Paramore, releasing solo music, and then reuniting with Underoath. There is no clear word yet regarding what the current band lineup is, but it has been announced that the record is releasing via Fearless Records.
